Performance Notes:
Sea Change was composed for Earth World Collaborative’s concert Morphology, presented on November 24, 2018. It was premiered by the composer, using the optional electronic soundtrack.
The work is inspired by the idea of change and metamorphosis, and in particular the cycle Morphology by composer Michael Bonaventure. It develops through gradual transformations of overlapping figural patterns
that create textural webs of intertwined note groupings. A brief interlude and coda interrupt the flow of figurations that predominate the piece.
