Cabeza de Vaca

A triptych of works for organ solo inspired by the life of 16th century Spanish explorer Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca. Considering the themes in Haniel Long’s brilliant ‘Interlinear to Cabeza de Vaca‘ from 1936, the three movements are titled:

I. Cabeza de Vaca at the Shore
II. Cabeza de Vaca hears a distant music
III. Cabeza de Vaca ponders his life as a soldier
