The sustaining pedal is held throughout; resonance is therefore constant. On a grand piano, the lid should be raised fully to enable maximal projection of resonance.
The timings between each event are indicated in seconds, either above the system or between staves. Solitary notes and chords appear as note-heads without stems, but all other actions are notated in conventional rhythms. Please observe the metronome marking applying to these actions.
